Folks from Nivea Philippines sent out Nivea Baby products for review. Coincidentally, Gwen is already a user of their baby wash and we’re down to the last drop of Nivea Baby Gentle Head-to-Toe Wash. They also sent the three variants of their baby wipes.
Gwen turned 14 months last Wednesday, the toddler is becoming more and more active these days. Every time we come home from work, she has a new learning for her to amaze us. She would give us sloppy kisses, throw her toys, dance whenever she hears music, sings pa-ra-pa-pa… in the tune of “Showtime” jingle, etc. She’s also becoming naughtier but I can’t help seeing her cry when I try to discipline her, tsk tsk tsk.
After shopping around for lightweight strollers and reading up on top lightweight strollers, we finally found one in Landmark. It’s the perfect umbrella stroller because it folds easily, doesn’t take up space, and it’s black (Jeff doesn’t like too cutesy and childish stuff).
…or should I say anti-Valentines day post?
We don’t spend Valentine’s day. I don’t like receiving flowers. I don’t like couples wearing couple shirts, eeep! I don’t like feeding each other in public. And now that we’re married, I feel awkward being so mushy in public.
I’m sorry to dampen your V-day spirits… it’s just that I’m feeling down lately and all I see from my news feed is all about V-day. Maybe it’s Facebook’s fault too, I think some of those who posted photos and FB status are just following suit to some of their contacts who posted how their Valentine went. If not for Facebook, we won’t know what flowers/chocolates/movie/restaurant/hotel your our contacts went. But I feel sad for those who doesn’t have a special someone with them, I know some who really feels depressed come V-day. And thanks to Facebook for rubbing it in….
Valentine’s Day is like Christmas to some lovers… But like Christmas, let’s make every day of the year feels like Valentine’s, full of love, love, love!

Gwen, my active toddler, has been eating solid foods like what adults eat. She eats rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner, lol! As long as we have “sabaw”, she’s good. And lately, she likes eating fried rice mixed with eggs too.
The second to the last baby food that Jeff made was Apple, Banana and Strawberry Recipe. He made this because Gwen had a bad case of cough because of tonsilitis. She doesn’t want to eat nor drink her milk, she finds it hard to swallow then so Jeff made a treat for her… And also for her quick recovery…
For months now, Jeff has been bugging me to take Gwen with us when hiking. It’s just for a day hike but I’m still hesitant about it. He showed me websites and blogs of families going hiking and yes, it’s possible to take babies out in the woods. But all those sites are from the US and Europe and I haven’t encountered a Filipino family doing such (baka kami una??)
I was browsing old photos of Gwen in our used pc desktop last night and saw a photo with our matching hair pieces from Sassy Hairsies. Gwen was only 8 months old then, and I can put anything on her without any complains. Now that she’s older, if I put a headband on her, one second and it’s gone.
