Max’s Restaurant, the iconic Filipino restaurant chain famous for its Sarap-to-the-Bones® Fried Chicken, is celebrating every kind of mom for the whole month of May. Mother’s Day has always been a special occasion to show gratitude and appreciation to all queens of the family therefore Max’s is extending this celebration with its special month-long offer.
…Gwen’s Christening and reception at Max’s restaurant
March 19, 2011, Jessica Gwen Siazon was welcomed to the Christian world. Baptism was held at the Malate Church (trivia: this is the church where me and my brother was also baptized). We chose this church because it’s an in-between location for our families, Jeff’s from Las Pinas, my family in Caloocan and friends from Quezon City, San Juan and Cavite.

All set for baptism
We’re all set for Gwen’s christening on Saturday. It will be held at Malate Church, the church is close to my heart because this is also the church where I was baptized. Too bad they only have communal baptism, we wanted a special baptism but I guess it doesn’t matter. I would have wanted to make her baptism extra special by looking for caterers, special venue, unique souvenirs, etc. but due to time constraints, I settled for a Christening package at Max’s restaurant. Aside from the food, package also includes the cake, invites, balloons and free use of venue for 2 hours. The package also includes 25 pcs. cookies souvenirs but I opted to add my own give-aways that’s why I’m searching over Multiply right now.
For those who want to have their child’s baptism at Malate Church, here are the requirements:
- Photocopy of child’s Birth Certificate duly registered at the City Hall or NSO.
- Registration form which you can download here
- Registration fee is Php 250
- Parents MUST attend the seminar at 5 PM held every Friday or Saturday before the baby’s baptism
I suggest going to Malate Church at Friday or Saturday at 4 pm for the registration and continue with the seminar afterwards.
I’m excited for Gwen’s baptism, I already bought her dress and of course mine too! I’d like to shop for new shoes though as I can’t wear the new womens boots I bought in HK.
