In the Kitchen will be the category where I will post some of the recipes I cook for my family. I promise you these are super-duper easy recipes because I’m really not an expert in the kitchen plus the fact that I don’t want recipes with so many steps/how-tos. Just 4-6 instructions, anything more than that, I skip the page of my recipe book and look for simpler recipes. So newbies in the kitchen, I hope you’ll try my recipes or suggestions and let’s share kitchen secrets!
Here’s another simple merienda we had earlier, using my favorite ingredient, tuna! hahaha, I can’t imagine our pantry without cans of tuna. I had another discovery in the grocery last week, Jolly Real Mayonnaise. Since I already use some Jolly products at home and they’re all good, I decided to give this a try.
What do you do when you have tuna and mayonnaise at home? Make tuna mayo spread. To amp it up, I brought out my panini maker and used tortillas instead of bread.
Tuna Mayo Wrap
Ingredients
1 can tuna flakes in water
1 small onion, chopped
Jolly Real Mayonnaise (start with 3 tbsp. and adjust according to preference)
salt and pepper
1 tomato, sliced
lettuce
Procedure
- Mix the tuna, onion, Jolly Real Mayonnaise in a bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Heat the tortillas in the panini press.
- Lay the tortilla on a plate, top with lettuce, spread the tuna mayo, and put 3 or 4 slices of tomatoes.
- Serve and eat while the tortilla is warm.
This #JollyRealMayonnaiseRecipe is not only good for merienda, but also for a light lunch or dinner, or when you’re having picnics. Just put the tuna mayo spread in a jar, bring the rest of the ingredients and assemble on the spot.

I haven’t try a tortilla as for replacement for bread…sounds interesting and yummy. The ingredients are so basic but it makes it yummier with mayonnaise in it.
