Meet Absolute Pure Distilled Drinking Water’s 5 Absolute Mom Awardees plus a chance to win Absolute gift bags! {Winner announced}
An Absolute Mom Awardee is an inspiring mother, an achiever in their chosen field, an exemplary woman who finds time to devote herself to charities and causes, extending herself to those in need in order to give back and make a difference.
Last Wednesday, May 9, 2012, I was very honored to be part of Absolute Mom Awards event held at the Museum Cafe in Greenbelt 4. May is Mother’s month, so it was very timely that Absolute Pure Distilled Drinking Water recognized 5 women who received the Absolutely Inspiring Mom for Others Award.
As a thank you to the 5 awardee moms, cash was donated to each of their chosen charities courtesy of Absolute Pure Distilled Drinking Water.
To award the five Absolute Moms was another Absolute mom herself, Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo.
Here are the 5 Absolute Mom Awardees:
- Patricia Bermudez-Hizon – host/sportscaster. She founded Everyday is Your Birthday Foundation, an organization that encourages people to help the less fortunate and make them feel that everyday is their birthday. Patricia’s chosen charity to receive the cash donation is House of Refuge Orphanage.
- Pia Magalona – She said that it’s her first time to be recognized as a mom. She is the chairperson of the Francis Magalona Foundation whose mission is to transform the lives of public high school students in order to instill Filipino pride.
- Tessa Prieto-Valdez – She happily thanked all their household staff from her yayas, cook and the drivers for helping her family. Her chosen charity is the Assumption High School Batch 81 Foundation whose thrust is in the welfare of impoverished children.
- Risa de los Angeles – Her exemplary service in helping the less privileged made her an awardee. She is a leader and mentor of the Youth for a United World of the Focolare.
- Cathy Babao – After the loss of his son, she founded Migi’s Corner. Her beneficiary is Project Brave Kids, an organization that helps families of children battling cancer.

My mother is the ABSOLUTE Best because she devoted her whole life for us… She quit her career to be a full-time wife and mother. She’s now a doting grandma to my kids and until now, she does her absolute best to help me out in taking care of her apos. I so love her!

My mom is absolutely amazing because her mind is brilliant and her hands are nurturing. She believes in her kids and in what we can do. She raised us in the best way she can. She gave us wonderful life beyond what we wanted. With her, we learned to live, share, laugh, love and forgive.

My mom’s love for us is unfathomable. She neither expects nor demands anything in return for the care and attention she showers on us. She also has such a forgiving heart that’s ready to embrace us no matter how much we have erred and hurt her. She is truly the absolute best mom!

My mom is the absolute best because she always puts her family before her own wants and needs. I’m the eldest of 8 siblings, and we’ve always bumped heads. Our personalities are so alike that we also have a lot of friction. But now that I’m a mom myself, I understand that everything she did was for our own good. Now I know where she was coming from.

my mom is absolutely the best because she is the only one who guide us all the way, i know that being a single parent of 3 is not that easy, but she passed it with flying colors.. she’s the one who took take care on all our needs from food to clothing, shelter up to the best education.. she gave that to us without hesitation.. no wonder, she is really absolutely the best!

absolutely the best mom for me is my mother, no one can ever replace her, the love that she giving our family is fantastic, never gets tired of doing household chores, cooking for us and even do the laundry.. i think thats the unconditional love..

Tenacity during times of adversity makes my mom the absolute best. She was able to send all four of her kids to college even when my dad passed away at a young age of 40. It was a difficult life for her but we all continue to survive.
