I heard about Green Barley for quite some time but didn’t try it because I thought it’s just another hype that promises to cure all illnesses. But a co-parent from Gwen’s school convinced me to try and see the benefits of Green Barley juice to Gwen.
Her daughter is 2.5 years old but I admire this little girl’s appetite. Before their 11 am class, she is eating her breakfast, sometimes it’s rice or fruit. Even before recess, she is already asking the teacher to open her snack haha. She can finish her cupcake even at her young age. I don’t know if that’s normal, but for my picky eater, Gwen, she can’t finish one whole bread or cupcake in one sitting.
So I praised the little girl in front of her mommy about her healthy appetite, and I went ahead asking what vitamins is she taking. Then mommy said that she’s taking Green Barley Juice. Dati raw, picky eater din daw yung bata, but after taking Green Barley, magana na kumain and even vegetables like ampalaya, kinakain na.
Oh wow! You know I’ll try anything just for my picky eater that’s why I bought 1 bottle of Green Barley from her. Green Barley inside the plastic bottle comes in a powder form and you need to mix it with 250 ml. COLD water. For Gwen who is 3 yo, recommended dosage is 15 ml.
Recommended dosage of Green Barley for children:
- 0-1 year old: 0.5 ml (daily maintenance) ; 1 ml (when sick)
- 1-2 years old: 5 ml (daily maintenance) ; 10 ml (when sick)
- 2-9 years old: 15 ml (daily maintenance) ; 30 ml (when sick)
- 10 years old above: 30 ml (daily maintenance) ; 60 ml (when sick)
I confirmed with her if it’s advisable for children and she said yes, her nephews and nieces are all taking Green Barley juice and no side effects with them.
Benefits of Green Barley:
- 11 times the calcium in cow’s milk
- 5 times the iron in spinach
- 7 times the Vitamin C in oranges
- 80 mg of vitamin B12 per hundred grams
- Significant amounts of chlorophyll
I just searched the above green barley benefits in Google out of curiosity.
Gwen is taking 15 ml of Green Barley juice and just 1 tablet of Ceelin for her vitamin C. No multivitamins as I let the Green Barley does its job. Gwen had a hard time adjusting with the flavor of barley though, sometimes I mix it with her juice. The bottle I got has a Tropical Fruit flavor but I read online that they have different flavors like choco, etc.
After a week of not taking multivitamins and just Green Barley and vitamin C, we noticed a slight increase on Gwen’s appetite. She drinks milk more often too.
I bought the second bottle at Generics Pharmacy for Php 250 to try for myself too. Same packaging and same manufacturer, Health Wealth Inc.
I heard that there are a lot of counterfeits since it became popular so better know your seller. Or look for it at trusted drugstores, it may be more expensive than online sellers’ price, but you’re sure that you’re buying the real thing.
