DIY Halloween Costumes for Kids

September 30, 2012 15 Comments

I’m excited for this year’s trick or treat. We’re going to do it again in Boracay! Celebrating Halloween in Boracay is so fun, everybody in the island is in their Halloween spirits. During the day, kids will have their trick or treat at 3 pm, and then at night, it’s a Halloween party for adults.

Last year, I was not creative in Gwen’s costume, hindi ko naman alam na kinakarir pala ng mga taga-Boracay ang Best in Costume award dun. Kaya this year, we will be back more prepared, hehe…

I saw the ones sold at Toy Kingdom and I didn’t find something I like. For girls, it’s either a fairy or princess or witch costume lang.

So Pinterest to the rescue, I hope I’ll have the time and creativity to make one of these DIY Halloween costumes.

I suggest you also make your kids costumes instead of buying. The costumes are expensive and the kids will use it only once! Next year, their costumes won’t fit them anymore. In the US, parents are encouraged to DIY and use recycled materials. It’s green and cheaper that way =).

Are you preparing for this year’s Trick or Treat too? Share your kids’ costumes =)

Well, we don’t really let Dindin join Halloween parties so I guess this is something that we don’t need. 😀
