Mustela Bebe Dermo-Cleansing Gel for Hair and Body review

August 27, 2011 4 Comments

Gwen is using Lactacyd Baby Bath since she was born. It was included on the newborn kit from the hospital and she got no allergic reactions to it so we continued using it until her 7th month. I got the chance to try Mustela Bebe Foam Shampoo when we were in Singapore because that’s what our friend’s son was using. I liked the scent so I decided to try Mustela for Gwen too. I bought the Mustela Bebe Dermo-Cleansing Gel for hair and body at their Trinoma store near National Bookstore. It’s quite expensive at Php 610 for a 200 ml. bottle.

Mustela Bebe Dermo-Cleansing Gel for hair and body

Product Details

Soap-free cleansing gel for newborns used to gently cleanse the body and hair. Gently cleanses body and hair of newborns and babies while respecting the integrity of the scalp’s hydrolipidic film: Soap-free, neutral pH.

Properties:

  • Compensates for the drying effect of hard water with its super-fatted agents (coconut derivatives).
  • Does not sting the eyes (neutral pH).
  • Softens skin and helps soothe irritation with its formula containing vitamin B5.
  • Hypoallergenic – specially formulated to minimize the risk of allergic reactions.
  • Tested under dermatological control

Mustela is the no. 1 baby brand in Europe I was told. What I like about is it’s free of parabens, phthalates and phenoxyethanol.

We put a small amount in a washcloth before scrubbing baby’s body. It gives a nice lather and easy to rinse. No allergic reactions to my baby’s skin but her skin is really not sensitive at all.

The no. 1 factor that will make me buy again this brand is because of the lasting scent on my baby. Gwen still smells good at the end of the day. When we went to my in-laws, they kept asking if I applied cologne on Gwen because she smells good they kept squeezing and hugging her. When we’re still using Lactacyd Baby Bath, her hair will smell “maasim” in the afternoon because she perspires a  lot during the day. But not anymore with Mustela, she smells good all over, yes, I have to repeat it again and again, she smells good. If it’s not that expensive, I’d use it myself. I also recommended this to my friend’s son who has skin asthma.
