Barbie You Can Be Anything Day

June 13, 2016 1 Comment

What do you want to be when you grow up?… or Anong gusto mo maging paglaki mo? At some point of our lives, we were asked these questions a dozen times. I remember answering that I want to be a scientist, a doctor, a flight stewardess, a pilot, and a banker. Now that I have Gwen, I haven’t really asked her what she wants to be when she grows up. Alam ko naman kasing magbabago pa yun. But whatever her answer is, she will have my full support because she can be anything she wants to be!

This is what Barbie wants every little girl to know, that You Can Be Anything! Imagination is your limit, and that anything is possible and everything is within reach with Barbie.  Last May 29, Richprime Global Inc., the exclusive distributor of Barbie in the country, in partnership with The SM Store and Toy Kingdom, set up the You Can Be Anything Day at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium.

There’s Pink everywhere but what’s more evident is the excitement of all the little girls inside the venue. They were given a Pink Passport that let them experience fun activities from being styled by a professional to recording themselves as a B-TV news anchor. Kids dressed up in their future career such as a doctor, firefighter, dancer, cheerleader, etc. had a chance to walk the runway at the Barbie Fashion Show. Natuwa naman ako because Gwen is game in joining all the activities including the fashion show, we borrowed her cousin’s doctor costume for the event.

Sabagay, sino ba namang bata ang hindi matutuwa sa make-up, cupcakes, and arts.

First order of business, hair and make-up. Ang haba talaga ng pila dito sa Barbie Pink Salon and Fashion Closet.

After all that kakikayan, Gwen also had fun designing her own cupcake at the Doll-icious Bakeshop.

She took her sweet time to finish her artwork at the Barbie Artsy Studio.

The highlight of the event is the Barbie Fashion Show. Little girls who came dressed in their chosen profession were selected and were given pink tags. At 3 pm, they did a mini-fashion show.

And here’s my little doctor on the runway.

There was another fashion show this time with other kiddie models showcasing the latest fashion from the Barbie clothing line. The celebrity guest is Andi Eigenmann with her cute daughter Ellie, real-life Barbie dolls talaga.

Thank you Barbie for igniting that spark and encouraging every little girl’s dream to be anything they want to be!
