Casa Chronicles: Our DIY Scandinavian Dining Table

May 22, 2018 2 Comments

It’s been a year since we moved to our house and though I’ve shared some snippets of it in FB and IG, I have yet to find the time and organize my blogposts. All I can say is napaka-stressful nya, I’ll write all about our learnings in building/renovating a house in the future. For now, let me show you our DIY Scandinavian-inspired dining table made by Jeff 🙂

We wanted clean lines and minimalist design for the house that’s why we fell in love for Scandinavian or Nordic styles. For the living, dining, and kitchen area, we wanted a wood/white combination.

We got Narra wood that’s been treated and cut into our desired dimension. Jeff bought the steel, and had it welded and painted to be the legs of the table and chair.

He finished our dining table and chairs in time for our anniversary, his gift made with love.

Here are our pegs, I got these mostly from Pinterest…

Here’s some variation on what you can do with the steel legs if you like industrial designs, wood and black steel looks good too.

The same style sells for $ 1,395!!!

DIY is the way to go, I think we only spent less than 25,000 pesos for our dining set. You just need to source the materials, time, and a talented husband ;).

Thank you! Yes, that’s why clean lines lang para you can see kahit under the table since maliit lang naman yung house 🙂
