The truth behind Maynilad’s water service interruption

March 6, 2020 3 Comments

There are some things we can never understand until we experienced and saw it for ourselves. That’s how I felt when I joined the Maynilad experiential tour in Angat Dam together with other mommy bloggers. I got a deeper understanding on some of the following topics:

  • Where is the source of our water supply?
  • How does Maynilad treat its water?
  • Is our water from Maynilad potable?
  • Why are we experiencing rotational water service interruptions?
  • Tips on how to conserve water

Last November, 2019, we celebrated the National Gifted Week that aims to nurture the gift of every child. The highlight was the Kite Flying Event spearheaded by the Philippine Center for Gifted Education, Inc. (PCGE) in partnership with Promil Four and with support from the Kite Association of the Philippines.

You CAN DO everything without worries with FWD’s KanDuu Plans

December 5, 2019 Leave a Comment

One of my hesitations when I decided to resign from work is that I might not be able to do some of the things I enjoy as a working mom. One reason is that the family budget might be scarce so some things like our travels will take a backseat. But as the saying goes, when a door closes, another one opens. God provides and answers our prayers so that we can still venture out into the unknown (sorry, may Frozen 2 fever lang hahaha), like going out on trips.

On fight against acne… Wag mong isuko ang laban

July 31, 2019 8 Comments

At some point in our lives, we went to a phase when we experienced troubled skin, acne, pimples, etc. I didn’t experience having pimples during my adolescent years, but when I was in my early 20s, naglabasan sila for a few months. Cystic pimples sila, so bukod sa malalaking pimples talaga sa cheeks at chin area, masakit na masakit pa! Whenever I go to the derma, may baon akong tissue kasi masakit nga! During that phase, naka-experience din ako sabihan na…”Anong nangyari sa mukha mo?” Meron naman kunwari concerned sayo, pero bebentahan ka pala ng product nya.

That’s when my self-confidence plummeted. Yes, it’s true na may kasabihan na beauty is only skin-deep, na what’s inside like your character and intelligence is more important. But still, when you’re in the real world, factor pa rin yun.

Best Ever Salu-Salo celebration with the #BestEverJoy

June 30, 2019 22 Comments

Last week, I was fortunate to witness a salu-salo celebration of the launch of Joy’s new and best ever formulation. Aside from that, #BestEverJoy also broke its old record number of plates washed with a just a single 495 ml. bottle, total of 17,500 plates were cleaned! Wooohooo, the plates were lined up in San Juanico bridge and back, from Samar to Leyte to Samar, nag-round trip ang mga plato mommies!

This calls for a grand celebration!

Getting ready for back-to-school

July 1, 2018 Leave a Comment

Tomorrow is Gwen’s first day of classes, there are a hundred things running in my mind right now. I have to iron her uniform, shine her school shoes, prepare her hygiene kit, plan her baon etc. Kung may first day of school jitters si Gwen, ako rin kasi na-stress na ako sa dami ng ihahanda. Plus her yaya, Ate Yongyong, took her vacation since May at hindi pa bumabalik, hindi rin nagpaparamdam. I took a leave from work for 1 week kasi nga marami pa akong cocoveran na libro at notebooks and also to take care of her needs.

Since back to school will be definitely stressful for us, ayoko namang pati sa bahay eh dagdag stress pa. It’s rainy season and I noticed that insects, flies, and rodents are everywhere :(. Talagang when it rains, it pours…ng problems. One solution to get rid of flies is get an aluminum foil and put it inside a bottle with water, tapos ilalagay lang sa table. Someone who works from a food cart told me that, naglalagay daw sila ng ganun sa mga pwesto nila to avoid flies.
