Christmas gift ideas at Groupon

December 13, 2016 Leave a Comment

This is a sponsored post by Groupon but all opinions and views are mine.

Christmas parties are happening left and right as Christmas day draws near. It’s the busiest season of the year once again. I’m in panic mode actually because I don’t have any single wrapped present under the tree yet. I think I’m going to go on hiatus this Christmas :p. Kidding aside, the reason I haven’t shopped yet is because of the horrendous traffic not just in the road but also going to the mall’s parking lot. It will drain your energy just by going to the mall, and let’s not talk about falling in line in fitting rooms, cashier, and gift wrapping section.

Our team in the office will be having a party this Friday and we’re having a White Elephant gift exchange. This type of gift exchange is a popular Christmas event where people vie or steal to walk away with the best present. It also goes by the name Yankee Swap or Dirty Santa. Given this type of gift giving, I need to look for a unisex gift. I’m looking at Groupon goods for ideas.

Home goes digital through PLDT Home

November 21, 2016 Leave a Comment

There’s no stopping technology in all aspects of our lives. Whether you like it or not, it is here to stay. So what we can do is use technology to our advantage. As a working mom, I am very thankful to technology such as messaging and video apps because I can keep tabs on what’s happening at home while at work. PLDT Home also embraces parenting in the digital age and believes that the strongest connections are at home.

Safeguard Big Protection for my big kid

October 29, 2016 Leave a Comment

Me: Gwen, alam mo kung anong song yung may lyrics na “…I’ll be there to save the day…”. Hahanapin ko kasi sa Spotify eh.

Gwen: One Call Away po, meron po ako sa tablet ko…

The inevitable just happened, I woke up one morning and the baby I just held in my arms yesterday is now 5 years old. Jeff and I often tells this story to Gwen, that when she’s still a baby, we wished that she’s big enough to talk and walk so that we’ll know why she cried, what she did, etc… But now we would tell her otherwise… that we miss her being a baby, we miss carrying her, I miss waking up at night to breastfeed, etc.

Before, we watched Peppa Pig, Charlie and Lola, and other nursery rhymes on YouTube. Now, she requested me to make her own YouTube channel. Shopping for her clothes will take forever because there will be debates between Mommy’s style, Daddy’s style, and her style, guess who won?

I am fearless like Kris Aquino

October 26, 2016 Leave a Comment

Ms. Kris Aquino is one formidable Filipina we have today. I’m not really a fan but when she talks on TV, I listen…people listen to her raves, rants, and wise words. But just like everybody else, whether you’re a celebrity, a beauty queen, a politician, a working mom, or a housewife, all of us have fears. At the Ariel’s Wash Your Fears Summit, I was able to recognize and overcame my fears along with Kris Aquino and other 100 Fearless Filipinas.

In the Kitchen: Mushroom Salpicao with Filippo Berio Olive Oil

September 13, 2016 11 Comments

In the Kitchen will be the category where I will post some of the recipes I cook for my family. I promise you these are super-duper easy recipes because I’m really not an expert in the kitchen plus the fact that I don’t want recipes with so many steps/how-tos. Just 4-6 instructions, anything more than that, I skip the page of my recipe book and look for simpler recipes. So newbies in the kitchen, I hope you’ll try my recipes or suggestions and let’s share kitchen secrets!

It’s been a while since I shared a recipe, well, I haven’t been adventurous in the kitchen until last weekend. My family got tired of eating meat and we wanted something light for a change. So last Sunday night, I cooked something for Jeff that will be a perfect pair for his craft beer.
