Frozen frenzy at Hong Kong Disneyland

September 20, 2015 16 Comments

Hello! We just came from our 7-day vacay in Hong Kong and I’m still feeling sad because we have to leave and return to the daily grind. We just love HK, kung pwede lang dun tumira. For a family who goes to HK with kids, I’m sure Disneyland is part of your itinerary, hindi pwedeng mawala yun.

Last 2012, it was Christmas time and the place was so happy because of the decors. This time, the Frozen fever invaded Hong Kong Disneyland. This is the main reason why we wanted to go since Gwen loves Elsa and Anna. I heard stories that the lines get pretty long for the meet and greet and for you to enter the Frozen Village that’s why we made a point to come before the park opening. We usually wake up late just like most HK locals, around 10 or 11 am but not this time, we woke up at 7 am to have breakfast and rode the MTR going to Disneyland. We reached the park at 10:15 am, sakto lang because the park opens at 10:30 am.

What’s in our travel toiletry bag?

June 7, 2015 27 Comments

One thing that doesn’t excite me when traveling is the packing and unpacking process. I still have a long way to go in practicing how to pack light. But thankfully, I have my husband, Jeff, who is the expert in packing light. I just give Gwen’s stuff in a packing cube and he’ll take care of the rest. As for my things, I have my own bag, DON’T ASK WHY hahahaha. So basically, Jeff and Gwen’s things go into one duffle bag while my clothes and other “stuff” goes into my backpack.

Germ-free family travels with Lysol To Go

June 2, 2015 3 Comments

We are a family on the go, we like to travel ever since Gwen was younger. When you look at the photos of our vacation, it’s all pure fun but the truth is, I’m also worried whenever we travel. There was this instance that there’s a flu scare in Hong Kong, and I have to make sure that Gwen had her flu shot first before we fly. Aside from that, we brought wipes and a big bottle of alcohol with us during that trip, kulang na lang maligo kami sa alcohol because we are scared to contract any disease-carrying virus.

Lysol is heaven-sent to worrywart parents like us because Lysol To Go Disinfectant Spray is now available in the Philippines! The brand most recommended by U.S. pediatricians made its popular disinfectant spray, travel sized.  Now we can extend germ protection out of home and take it with us to the malls, restaurants, hotels, airports, play areas, etc.

8 Fun Activities to do at Blue Bay Walk

May 4, 2015 31 Comments

I got a secret to tell, I discovered a not-so-hidden place in Pasay where your family can enjoy without spending too much. If you’ll bring your own food, drinks, bikes, and other recreational activities, then you don’t have to spend a single cent while in there. Yes, even the parking is free! We all know how scarce it is to find free parking nowadays.

Every parent knows, or will know, the headaches and pains of having hyperactive children in the car during a long road trip. I feel you. I know how it’s like to drive up to Baguio in a cramped SUV with little children. It gets noisy and messy and migraine-inducing to the point that you almost want to give up on the trip and just go home.

Baguio-Sagada-Baguio Sojourn

January 4, 2015 10 Comments

Our Baguio-Sagada-Baguio trip was the most tiring one thus far, but it’s the sweetest way to seal the year after starting it with our Batanes trip January of 2014. The original plan was to take a bus to Banaue, then ride the van or jeepneys going to Sagada. But I don’t know if the bus lines from Manila to Banaue takes reservations and I anticipated that there will be long lines via that bus route. Aside from that, we’re still undecided if we’re going to push the trip all the way to Sagada or just go to Baguio for the cold weather. At dahil gusto talaga naming umalis, I booked the Joybus going to Baguio for December 26, from there, bahala na si Batman kung tutuloy sa Sagada.

December 26, 2014: Baguio

We left Manila at 4 am, very comfortable naman ang Joybus at mabilis pa, so after 5 hours, we’re already in Baguio. We just left our things at Dely’s Inn, had breakfast at Good Taste Restaurant, and then proceeded to the playground at Burnham Park. We napped for around 2 hours back at the hotel. Gwen is so excited going back to Wright Park to ride a horse kaya di pwede mawala sa itinerary yun, after our nap, we rode a taxi going to Wright Park. Ang traffic sa Baguio during that time, naglakad na lang kami passing by Botanical Garden, Ketchup Food Community, then Wright Park.
