Top 4 bento tools and accessories you need for your child’s baon

August 7, 2019 8 Comments

I started making bento baon for Gwen when she was in Kindergarten. It’s to motivate her to go to school and eat her baon as well. I admit I’m not as talented as other moms who does bento like a pro like my friend Kaye of Bento Mommas. She’s the first one na nakita ko na gumagawa ng bento, hindi pa uso talaga ang bento nun but Kaye makes them for her son, Rylie.

Anyway, since I don’t have the talent, I rely on bento tools and accessories para maitawid ko ang bento baon hahaha. A lot of my followers are asking about the names of bento tools I used every time I post Gwen’s baon, that’s why I decided to make this post, sort of a bento 101 on the names of the bento tools.

#EasyBaonIdeas: Chicken Teriyaki in 15 minutes!

July 25, 2019 8 Comments

It’s been 3 weeks since school started, okay pa ba kayo mommies? I miss waking up late in the morning, now I have to wake up at 5:30 to prepare Gwen’s breakfast and baon. Speaking of baon, I made a new album in our Facebook page and a new hashtag for you to follow, #EasyBaonIdeas. Para hindi tayo ngarag ng umagang-umaga, dapat easy recipes lang for baon.

Last night, my plan is to cook Chicken with salsa, my own imbento recipe which I’ll share to you soon. But the salsa that we have is spicy, baka hindi makain ni Gwen although she can tolerate spicy food naman. Kaya change menu ako, buti na lang I keep a bottle of Teriyaki sauce in the ref.

Tadaaaa…. Chicken Teriyaki in 15 minutes!

June 11, 2019 Leave a Comment

In the Kitchen will be the category where I will post some of the recipes I cook for my family. I promise you these are super-duper easy recipes because I’m really not an expert in the kitchen plus the fact that I don’t want recipes with so many steps/how-tos. Just 4-6 instructions, anything more than that, I skip the page of my recipe book and look for simpler recipes. So newbies in the kitchen, I hope you’ll try my recipes or suggestions and let’s share kitchen secrets!

Chocolate makes everything better, do you agree? Well, this bowl of champorado with chocnut will definitely give you a warm hug and will put you in a good mood.

I guess by now you know that my family loves Japanese curry. Check my Japanese Beef Curry recipe. But since it’s lenten season, let’s go meatless and use tofu instead.
