In the Kitchen: Easy Buffalo Wings

April 10, 2019 6 Comments

In the Kitchen will be the category where I will post some of the recipes I cook for my family. I promise you these are super-duper easy recipes because I’m really not an expert in the kitchen plus the fact that I don’t want recipes with so many steps/how-tos. Just 4-6 instructions, anything more than that, I skip the page of my recipe book and look for simpler recipes. So newbies in the kitchen, I hope you’ll try my recipes or suggestions and let’s share kitchen secrets!

Whenever we crave for buffalo chicken wings, Wingman at The Collective in Makati is our go-to place. For more chicken wings flavors, Wingstop is our best bet. But both of the stores are now closed :(, but there’s still Wingman in Acacia Estates though.

I gave in to my cravings and cooked my homemade buffalo wings! The advantage is that, ang mura lang ng chicken wings sa grocery plus I can adjust the spiciness of the buffalo sauce.

Last night, I cooked tokwa’t baboy for dinner. What I do with the liempo is I boil them in water with onion, salt, and pepper. When the liempo is cooked, I now have a delicious pork broth! I usually use it to cook corned beef sopas.

When eating at Japanese restaurants. you’ll notice the vegetable side-dish that comes with our tempura or misono, check out my Beef Misono with Stir-fried Vegetables. Yasai Itame pala ang tawag dun, Yasai means vegetables and Itame, derived from the verb Itameru, which means stir fry.

I make it a point to cook more vegetable dishes at home, it’s a good thing that my daughter Gwen loves eating ginisang gulay, as long as I add more water because she prefers it masabaw :).

Mexican food is part of my family’s basic food group haha… we can’t say no to Mexican food. That’s why I make it a point to cook tacos, nachos, or quesadillas at home. This weekend, I’m in the mood for some chopping so I prepared tacos.

To make it more extra, I transformed it into a taco salad.

My husband Jeff loves curry, may it be Thai, Indian, or Japanese, basta curry, keri! :p Whenever we’re in a Japanese restaurant, his staple order would be anything with curry sauce. When I chanced upon these Japanese curry mixes in the grocery aisle, I decided to give it a try and cooked Japanese Beef Curry.

Over a month since I became a full-time mom, wooohooo! One thing I enjoy doing is cooking, noon pa naman, kaya I wish to have my dream kitchen soon! Anyway, ramdam nyo ba ang mahal ng gulay? Ramdam na ramdam ko momshies hehe, hindi nga ako makapagluto ng sopas na maraming repolyo at carrots e :(. Dahil dyan, all meat recipe muna ise-share ko ngayon.

Here’s a mom hack for you, I discovered the breakfast steak cut, mas manipis pa sya kesa sa sirloin. Kaya mas madali syang lutuin at palambutin, I will share more recipes using this cut. But first, eto munang Bistek Tagalog.
