Baby gender prediction

October 28, 2010 2 Comments

Just for fun! I know that I’ll be having a little princess on December but before we were able to determine baby’s gender through ultrasound, I tried most baby gender prediction tools. Quite popular is the Chinese Gender Chart, and most of pregnant mommies said that the results were accurate. Just make sure to compute your Chinese Lunar Age and use that as the basis in the chart to determine baby’s gender.

For example, I’m 28 years old at the time of conception, but my Chinese Lunar Age is 30, so based on the chart, it’s a girl!

Stuffed, always…

October 27, 2010 Leave a Comment

Whoa, at 30 weeks now and I’m getting amazed at how my tummy gets bigger and bigger everyday. My appetite is incredibly rolling, however, I know that I have to control it unless I want to be big and undergo C-section. What’s bad is after getting positive results for my OGCT a few months before, I became a voracious eater of sweets such as chocolates, cakes, ice cream and soda. I just compensate it with extra glasses of water. I think I might be needing detox once the baby’s out so I’m gonna look out for cleanse smart reviews
out there.

I miss sleep!

October 26, 2010 Leave a Comment

I love sleeping! Before I got pregnant, I always wake up late because it’s nice to curl up in bed with fluffy pillows surrounding me like a crib. But then, pregnancy stole the luxury of sleep. On my first and second trimester, I had pregnancy rhinitis which made it difficult to sleep, clogged nose and all… On the third trimester, I still haven’t gotten a deep slumber because baby is more active at night. One time, I woke up in the middle of the night because I thought someone’s trying to wake me up by nudging me. Only to find out it’s my baby inside my tummy doing acrobatic tricks or like an equestrian galloping with his horse.

Friends who are already parents told us that sleep will become elusive once the baby’s out. But I didn’t expect it to start at the onset of pregnancy.

How to increase amniotic fluid level

October 24, 2010 Leave a Comment

After my 4D baby ultrasound at Face2Face, I got worried of what the OB said that I have low amniotic fluid level that’s why my baby’s images are not that sharp and clear. I started researching online about amniotic fluid levels in pregnancy and medical sites. After reading suggested sites from Google, I learned terms like oligohydramnios (too little amniotic fluid), polyhydramnios (too much amniotic fluid) and normohydramnios (adequate amount). Now, that’s something new huh? Last time I checked, my lab result appeared to be normohydramnios.

There are still some debate if drinking extra amounts of water can help increase amniotic fluid levels. One way to treat oligohydramnios is through amnoinfusion or injecting fluid into the uterus, this and plenty of bedrest is recommended. I do hope that I’m not at this point where I will undergo procedures/treatment for my pregnancy. Just thinking of my labor is enough to get me worried, and these medical terms makes me nosebleed…

4D baby ultrasound at Face2Face

October 23, 2010 6 Comments

We had our 4D baby ultrasound at The Baby Ultrasound Company, also known as Face2Face, earlier. I chose Face2Face over In My Womb because their gold package is cheaper than its similar package at In My Womb. We paid Php 3,300 for the gold package as opposed to In My Womb’s Php 4,000 Ruby Package. F2F also includes a CD containing digital still images of the baby for Facebook posting purposes, hehe…

Things I miss

October 15, 2010 Leave a Comment

Being pregnant brings a lot of changes in a woman. Not just physically, but also psychologically and emotionally. Of course, who wouldn’t miss the old svelte body one has before pregnancy, right?

I miss running and other physical activities that I do with Jeff. I miss travelling, although I was able to go to Baler, Boracay and Cebu on my first trimester, my body is aching and wanting to go on vacation now. I miss going to events like concerts, Jeff is now watching Tanduay Rockfest in SM MOA. I might be squashed with that large crowd.

I miss eating and drinking whatever I want. I’m not an avid coffee drinker before but the smell of coffee in the office or in coffee shops makes me salivate. I tried ordering decaf Java Chip in Starbucks but it tastes different.

I miss my once-in-a-while pampering moments in a salon, and MASSAGE! Massage is one thing I’m gonna get after the D-day. What I’m thankful for is that I didn’t experience break outs despite having stopped using derma products. I don’t have to worry about acne on the neck or other parts of the body.

But this great blessing is immeasurable, and as they say, all these for a greater cause…
