Elmer’s Grand Slime Time Fair was held at Eastwood Mall Atrium a few weeks ago. Gwen is obsessed with slime and she watches slime videos on YouTube. We made 2 slime making videos too, in fact, the other one is her entry to the Elmer’s Slime Squad, vote for her video here. So to say that Gwen loves slime is an understatement haha, and when she learned that there will be a Grand Slime Time Fair, she really wanted to go.

We always encourage Gwen to do more outdoor play. Being active is also good for the kids, physically and socially, because they get to play with other kids. One of the things we’re really grateful since we lived here in Cavite is that Gwen have plenty of outdoor space to run around and play. There’s the playground, hello monkey bars, see-saw, and slide. And then there’s the clubhouse and basketball court for more space if she likes to ride her bike or go rollerblading. These past months, she’s into practicing with her rollerblades, inspired by the movie Mighty Ducks which is on the loop since December haha…

Every kid is talking about slime, Gwen has been bugging me for weeks that we make our own slime. Thankfully, this long weekend got me some spare time to make our DIY Slime using glue, contact lens solution, and Ariel liquid detergent. We didn’t use borax which most slime recipe calls for.

The rainy season is upon us and with the kids spending most of their time indoors, I’m sure most of us heard them complain, “Mommy, I’m bored…”. Last week, with the rains and floods in the city, most cities suspended their classes too. I know there’s an article that says let the kids get bored and all but for a working mom like me, I’d like to leave Gwen some things to do while her daddy and mommy are at work.
Gwen likes to do arts and crafts more than playing with toys that’s why I’m always on the lookout for art sales online. She can’t get enough of crayons (why do they have so many kinds!!!), colored pens, and papers. Coz rainy days shouldn’t be dull and boring, here are some indoor activities for the kids.
