13 things to do before you travel as a family

September 9, 2014 Leave a Comment

We are going to Bangkok this Thursday, we will be back after 10 years and this time, we’ll be with Gwen. I hardly remember any details from my last trip except that we stayed in Baiyoke Suite Hote and went to Chatuchak and floating market. This time, my preparation for our Bangkok trip started right after we got back from Bohol. I extensively researched on accommodations, itineraries, food, and child-friendly tourist attractions.

The Internet culture of Filipinos

May 7, 2014 Leave a Comment

Long before smartphones and tablets were invented and Internet is still very slow, Filipinos’ main source of entertainment are those from TV and radio. Now, just like in our household, we seldom watch TV. We just turn to Facebook or Twitter to see what’s trending :p.

The S and the R

March 4, 2013 Leave a Comment

After typing the title, I suddenly miss S&R, the supermarket hihi, but no, this is about my toddler’s cute vocabulary.

Gwen is very talkative. Some say her vocabulary’s development is ahead of kids her age (she’s 2 yrs. and 2 months old). I enjoy talking to my toddler even if her words are still limited. Every day, I’m surprised of the new words she learned from TV, from Nanay, from her cousins, etc…

I find it cute though that she can’t still pronounce words with S and R. “S” becomes “T” and “R” becomes “W”.

Cycles Laundry Detergent

November 5, 2010 1 Comment

My latest baby stuff is for the domesticated, Cycles Laundry Detergent. I picked this up at Landmark Department Store while Jeff is looking for Schlage door hardware at True Value. This detergent is recommended by pediatricians to use on baby’s clothes because it does not contain harsh chemicals, therefore safe for baby’s skin.

I’m officially cramming now since my diaper bag is still empty, other mommies in Girltalk forum recommends preparing the baby bag as early as 7 months. So my task for the weekend, do the laundry for baby clothes and wash and sterilize the bottles.
