Dave’s Fun House at SM North Edsa

July 7, 2014 8 Comments

Since one of Gwen’s teacher advised us to expose Gwen to an environment with more kids to socialize, we let her play inside play centers. Before, we don’t let her play in one of those play areas because small and older kids play in one area and some rowdy kid might hurt Gwen. Another thing is that kids can easily get viruses in these areas. Yup, overprotective parents here, but we’re trying to loosen up.

One nice playhouse we discovered is Dave’s Fun House at the 3rd Level of SM North Edsa, Main Building.

It’s different from other play areas because it’s like a mini neighborhood with a hotel, parlor, hospital, etc. There are 2 slides for the bigger kids. The floors have carpets so kids won’t slip. The stairs going up the slide are well padded too.

Gwen loved playing inside each areas because she can pretend to be a doctor in one room, cook meals in the kitchen, be a shopkeeper, stop by at the parlor, or if she wants some action, she can slide and dive into the sea of balls.

Upon entry, fingerprints of guardians/fetcher will be scanned 5 times. I like this security feature. And for germophobic parents like us, there’s a sanitizer available upon exit.

Kids 3 feet and below should be accompanied by adults. 1 adult companion is Php 20. Children and guardians need to wear socks. Socks are also available for Php 30.

Naku, ganyan din ako ka-OC with Yue, sis. Especially nung magkaron ng chicken pox scare sa school nila before, lalo na syang hindi nakalaro sa mga ganyang fun house. Mahirap na, haha! 😉

Di ba no? Minsan gusto ko syang i-expose at hayaan lang maglaro kahit madumi, pero ang hirap pag nagkakasakit sila eh.

Thanks for sharing this! I had been to Dave’s Fun house many years ago and was very glad to see it when I went to SM north before Christmas. I was trying to find the name of the place today, because I was thinking of bringing the kids there this afternoon, and it’s not even on the SM North website! So I was so glad to find your blog on your child’s experience there. Thank you so much!
