DIY United Nation Costume Idea: Greece

September 30, 2019 Leave a Comment

When Gwen was in Kindergarten, her school celebrated United Nations. For the kids’ costumes, they have to list down their countries of choice, paunahan. The popular ones were Japan, Philippines (para pwede na yung ginamit sa Buwan Ng Wika), Korea, India, Egypt, and China.

I can’t think of other countries na madali lang ang costume. So I searched online first and chose Greece. I did not buy a ready made costume for Gwen at that time, bumili lang ako ng tela tapos pinatahi. I spent less than 1,000 pesos as compared to pag bumili ako ng costume plus accessories.

I just showed some Greek goddess costumes sa mananahi para gayahin nya. Kuha naman di ba?

DIY Greek Goddess Costume Cost:

  • The cost of the white and blue fabrics plus the gold trimmings for the dress is just under 500 pesos.
  • I bought the leaf crown in 168 Mall for just 50 pesos.
  • I paid the mananahi around Php 350.

What’s good about this Greek goddess costume is Gwen was able to use it too as her Halloween costume. Sulit na!

Whether you plan to buy or DIY your kids’ United Nations costumes, make sure to canvass first and shop early so you have more time comparing prices.
