E-Passport Application for Infants

May 15, 2011 15 Comments

We applied for Gwen’s passport last week. We’re lucky to find an earlier schedule for passport application for her passport to be released just in time for our Singapore trip on July. Our appointment is at 5:00 pm, but we’re already there at 4:30 pm and proceeded with the process, we’re finished after 30 minutes.

Requirements for passport application of infants/minor are minimal:

  1. NSO authenticated birth certificate – I requested Gwen’s birth certificate via NSO Birth Certificate Delivery.
  2. Passport of both parents, original and photocopy
  3. Personal appearance of minor with either parent
  4. Marriage certificate, original and photocopy

Gwen’s passport will be released on June 13 since they don’t accept rush applications. Regular passport processing is Php 950. Passport delivery is additional Php 120.

I’m so excited for our first family trip, the three of us. I’ll take lots of pictures of Universal Studios, steel buildings around Singapore, food trips and shopping at Orchard Road for Gwen to see once she grows up.

    Hi Mia,

You need the NSO certified birth certificate. After 3 or 4 months, available na yun.

Even if your baby is too young to remember the trip, once she sees the pictures she will be glad to know that you already took her to Singapore.

Looks like you got your baby’s passport with no unnecessary delay. Problems with travel documents sure are dampers to excitement for the trip.

I have to ask my mom to try the E-Passport application so the processing will become easier for her.
