Iba ang alagang mommy!

September 25, 2012 38 Comments

The other day, yaya Gladys said, “Ang laki na ni Gwen ate no? Dati tinutulak ko pa yan sa stroller sa labas para makatulog.” She’s referring to her routine way back in January and February of this year, she would put Gwen in her stroller, give milk and then walk down the street to make Gwen fall asleep for her afternoon nap. Now, Gwen is too big to be confined in a stroller and too stubborn when it’s time to sleep (galit sa tulog tong batang to eh).

I got teary-eyed when realization came that my baby is now all grown up. She’s a toddler now, she will be a tween tomorrow, and she will be an adult in the near future. Once she became an adult, she might not need me anymore. Gosh, just typing this sentence made me cry =(

I used to think the statement “Ayaw padapuan sa lamok ang anak” is so OA. But once you become a parent, you just want to do everything even if it’s impossible just to protect your child. Kung pwede lang maipasa yung sipon, ubo, lagnat ng mga anak natin, I’m sure aangkinin na lang natin lahat yun. I’d rather suffer than seeing my baby in pain. Kahit kagat lang ng lamok, langgam o kahit anong insekto pa yan, I’m one of those mommies who will say “Ayaw ko padapuan ng lamok ang anak ko.”

That will happen in a perfect world. But the reality is day by day, our children are out to set foot into their own world. So while it lasts, I will give Gwen all the love, care and protection she needs. After all, iba talaga ang alagang mommy.

Sorry for the drama, it’s because of the new TVC of Johnson’s Baby Complete Care System. It’s for the new way of caring baby’s bum but watching the TVC melts my heart, maybe it’s the music, the captions, the narration, the nostalgia it brings…

What do you think of the new Johnson’s Baby TVC?

I 101% can relate with you and this TVC really so touching to us mommies, really true! Thats why we have to simply take care of them accordingly. When they are babies , hope we are there to see them and attend them, so when they become adults, we will not miss a thing:) Good day!

Time flies, ang bilis lang ng panahon. Mga mommies talaga, I could only sigh seeing photos of my girls when they’re still babies. now that they’re tweens, I could only wish to carry them again and sing again lullabyes to sleep but they’re bigger than me now.
