My ultimate spampering day at The Spa

July 23, 2012 14 Comments

Once in a while, we need to take a halt from our daily grind. We all know that when it comes to our families, mommies will surely strive to provide and nurture our families even if it means sacrificing our own needs. I long forgotten how it feels to have an 8-hour sleep, I consider myself lucky to have 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep because Gwen still wakes up in the early hours of morning to breastfeed. During weekends, instead of sitting in the salon for a mani-pedi or for a hot oil, I’d rather spend it cuddling and playing with my princess. This routine eventually took its toll on my physical appearance. I always look “puyat”. And I always feel a tight knot on my shoulders.

So when an invitation from The Spa came to try their latest services, I was elated. It’s about time for some ME-time.

I booked an appointment at The Spa Trinoma one Tuesday afternoon. It was one luxurious treat!

First was The Spa Reflexology (<– click to read more about the massage). Would you believe that it’s only for Php 550? Considering the prices of The Spa’s services, mura na yan! It’s more on foot massage but your head, shoulders, back and arms will be massaged too. You’re having a whole body massage while paying for the price of a foot massage. You can even bring your kumares and have an afternoon chitchat while having a massage because The Spa’s reflexology rooms can accommodate 3 or more people. In the Trinoma branch, one room can have 3 persons.

I was truly relaxed and recharged after the massage.

And for the ultimate spampering afternoon, I had Purity Facial with Organics (<– click to read more about the facial). This facial from The Spa uses Selvert Thermal products with 100% natural ingredients that’s why it’s perfect for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and for those with sensitive skin.  My skin deserves royal treatment that’s why for this facial, it only uses Thermal Water, derived from the Spanish Pyrenees and  Swiss Alps mountains.

I go to a different clinic for my facial, so I’m used to a routine which involves scrubbing and massaging my face in a circular motion. So imagine my wow factor when my face was caressed in an ever-so-gentle manner. It’s a different kind of massage exclusive for the Purity Facial, a combination of lymphatic drainage and gliding motion to detox and relax the skin. Relaxing indeed, I was half-asleep for the most part of the treatment.

Here’s the all-natural mask applied on my face. An herbal infusion of organic chamomile, organic green tea, organic mint and organic white tea. These are the ingredients of the mask applied topically, not the ingredients for my drinks, hahaha…

To cap the afternoon, a cup of delicious ginger tea from The Spa before I walked out feeling energized!

A 100% recharged Misis B! Mommy duties, here I come!

Sob, sob! I badly need a massage, too! Kahit nga wala nang facial chorva, keri lang eh. Masaya na ko sa massage. My poor aching muscles! 😀

Wow, the Spa Reflexology is quite affordable ah! 🙂 I’ll try to get me some ME-time at The Spa soon. Will definitely try their Spa Reflexology, and facial too if the budget permits.

Looks very relaxing for a very reasonable price. I agree, I tend to forget some pampering for myself even on weekends, I feel guilty if I spend time outside without my little girl..
