Every kid is talking about slime, Gwen has been bugging me for weeks that we make our own slime. Thankfully, this long weekend got me some spare time to make our DIY Slime using glue, contact lens solution, and Ariel liquid detergent. We didn’t use borax which most slime recipe calls for.

The rainy season is upon us and with the kids spending most of their time indoors, I’m sure most of us heard them complain, “Mommy, I’m bored…”. Last week, with the rains and floods in the city, most cities suspended their classes too. I know there’s an article that says let the kids get bored and all but for a working mom like me, I’d like to leave Gwen some things to do while her daddy and mommy are at work.
Gwen likes to do arts and crafts more than playing with toys that’s why I’m always on the lookout for art sales online. She can’t get enough of crayons (why do they have so many kinds!!!), colored pens, and papers. Coz rainy days shouldn’t be dull and boring, here are some indoor activities for the kids.

After the house construction, we wish to replace our decade old SUV. It will be a few years from now but it’s nice to learn and educate myself about cars. I want to learn how to drive too, it will be my third attempt. While everything are just plans, I’m reading up car reviews on Cars.com.

In the Kitchen will be the category where I will post some of the recipes I cook for my family. I promise you these are super-duper easy recipes because I’m really not an expert in the kitchen plus the fact that I don’t want recipes with so many steps/how-tos. Just 4-6 instructions, anything more than that, I skip the page of my recipe book and look for simpler recipes. It was a rainy week and Gwen’s classes were suspended since Wednesday. Since we’re all at home on a rainy Friday night, I decided to cook some comfort food for the family. There’s nothing more comforting than warm hugs and cuddles from your loved ones especially during this weather. It’s a great prelude to the weekend, watching our favorite TV series while enjoying our bowl of Chicken Sopas.
Macaroni Soup is one recipe I can make using what’s available in the fridge. Ground meat, corned beef, ham…. this is what I like about sopas, it’s very versatile. Last week, Magnolia sent me 5 of their #PambansangManok, Magnolia Whole Chicken. So this is what went to my Chicken Sopas.
