Havey na havey Juan Chatter stickers from WeChat Philippines

May 25, 2014 6 Comments

Quick trivia: Did you know that the Philippines has 11 recognized languages and over 175 dialects spoken throughout our 7,107 islands?

Aside from these, there is also Filipino slang. Filipino slang is ever changing, from Taglish to gay lingo. Only Pinoys can understand them, kaya nga Filipino eh :). And since WeChat is very popular among Pinoys, WeChat releases Juan Chatter. It has 16 animated stickers that reflect the wit, candor, and inventiveness that Filipinos apply to such slangs.

Human Heart Nature products we love

May 18, 2014 8 Comments

My family prefers natural and organic products, we choose this whenever there’s an option like in vegetables, juices, vitamins and even personal care products. We always check out Healthy Options because that’s a one-stop shop for those looking for healthier alternatives on food and also beauty products. But there’s one Filipino brand that I truly support since they started. I remember my first purchase was their shampoo and conditioner.

Human Heart Nature has grown from personal care products, they now have make-ups too and can be bought online and also at Beauty Bar and other specialty stores in malls like Sesou Nature Source in Trinoma (where I always buy my stash).

My favorite products as of late is Human Heart Nature Kids Natural Shampoo and Body Wash and All Natural Spray Sanitizer.

The Rainbow Loom Craze is ON

May 15, 2014 10 Comments

So finally, I jumped into the looming craze. The Rainbow Loom has been around in the US since last year but it’s only now that the craze hit the Philippines. They even had a Rainbow Loom Expo in SM Megamall last week. At first, I was adamant not to join the craze, I thought, “Why pay 899 pesos for just rubber bands” Even though I really think it’s cute and I love accessories!

I’m really tempted to buy one whenever we’re in Toy Kingdom or Toys R Us, but I just brushed off the idea because although it’s said to improve fine motor skills, Gwen is too young for this toy (kaya para sa akin talaga to!)

But when I saw my that friend Nicquee is selling a cheaper version of the Rainbow Loom, I decided to give it a try, after all, it’s only Php 120. If I don’t like it, then it’ll save me a few hundred bucks from not buying the original. If I like it, I can just stick to the cheaper version and buy more loom band refills or buy the original.

Commercial muna from serious blog posts…. showbiz muna.

Aminin! Sinong nanonood? The Legal Wife got me hooked again in watching teleserye. I didn’t watch My Husband’s Lover on GMA before, pero ibang levels ang The Legal Wife. Nakakapang-gigil hahaha!

Of course, ABS-CBN knew how popular the soap is, so they released The Legal Wife statement shirts that can be bought at the ABS-CBN store at the lobby of ELJ Building. Shirts are Php 250 each.

The Internet culture of Filipinos

May 7, 2014 Leave a Comment

Long before smartphones and tablets were invented and Internet is still very slow, Filipinos’ main source of entertainment are those from TV and radio. Now, just like in our household, we seldom watch TV. We just turn to Facebook or Twitter to see what’s trending :p.
