Pinay Mommies Community Grand EB

November 25, 2011 15 Comments

What will happen if approximately 50 moms and some kids will gather in one place? It’s absolutely F-U-N! Last Tuesday, November 22, 2011, members of Pinay Mommies Community had a time-off from our mommy duties for an afternoon of chika, yummy food, fun, laughter, gifts and prizes from the event’s sponsors. The Pinay Mommies Community Grand EB was held at Aling Tonya’s Seafood Restaurant along Macapagal Blvd.

PMC Grand EB

I seldom attend events especially if it’s a weekday because of work. But this one is different, I have to excuse myself from work just to meet fellow wonderful mommies because this is a once in a lifetime event. PMC founder and the original Pinay Mommy, Ruby Ricafrente, flew in from CDO with her family for this event.

And I’m sure you’ll get pretty excited too if you knew that some mommies endured the hour-long bus trip from Baguio, long-haul flight from Mindanao, Bulacan, Germany and Canada. Of course, this event wouldn’t be immortalized if it weren’t for the hardworking Pehpot Pineda.

Lootbags, prizes and tokens abound leaving all of us mommies delighted. Well, it ain’t called grand for nothing… Thanks to all of the event’s sponsors who gave us truckloads of mommy-friendly goodies, it’s an early Christmas treat.

Major Sponsors

Smart Steps gave out baby laundry detergent, bottle cleaner, fabric softener, toilet seat cover and a toilet sanitizer in their lootbags. They also gave out items for the raffle. Too bad I didn’t win on this because I wanted to try their laundry detergent. I used another brand of baby laundry detergent before but later on switched to a regular detergent because i can’t see the difference.

Unilab has always been supportive of mommy bloggers. This time, as one of the major sponsors, they gave out lootbags with a gigantic 500 ml Ceelin (perfect for this colds, cough and flu season), Enervon multivitamins for adults, Diatabs, Rashfree, Dolan, tumbler and pencil. Aside from the lootbags, more items were given away as raffle prizes.

Minor Sponsors

We would also like to thank the minor sponsors for the following:

  • Geiser Maclang for the Krispy Kreme donuts and Manny Pacquiao shirt.
  • Procter & Gamble for the Ariel and Pampers Active Baby (Gwen can really use additional diapers)

  • Scotch Brite for the very useful items

  • Ajinomoto for the cooking and food items especially the Crispy Fry breading mix (cupboard is never complete without this)

  • Drypers WeeWee Dry is another sponsor who is very generous and supportive for all mommy activities. They gave out diapers and McDonalds gift certificates.

  • Ainon for the two strollers and other baby items. The two strollers will be given to our next charity event.

  • Project Happiness Bakehouse for the PMC cake (and for Gwen’s yummy birthday cake too)

  • Krazypix Photobooth for the additional fun and flair at the event

  • Avon for the make-up loot! And guess who won an Avon gift pack…

The lipstick and mascara I plan to use on the Nuffnang gala dinner...

Whew! But wait, there’s more! Goldquest Biotechnologies, World of Wellness, Richwell, Grendha and other PMC moms raffled off prizes as well. And I won a grill from the raffle too, I don’t know who to thank though….

Aside from all these prizes, I also have to carry a huge ecobag for our PMC tokens, a little something from each of us to be given out to all PMC mommies. Next time, I will be more prepared and bring a luggage bag with wheels, lol!

Did I say next time? Yes, because events like this should be done over and over. And for December, it will be a charity event.

***Thanks to Eihdra Gatchalian and Mauie Flores for the photos.
