In the Kitchen: Taco Salad Recipe

February 2, 2019 9 Comments

In the Kitchen will be the category where I will post some of the recipes I cook for my family. I promise you these are super-duper easy recipes because I’m really not an expert in the kitchen plus the fact that I don’t want recipes with so many steps/how-tos. Just 4-6 instructions, anything more than that, I skip the page of my recipe book and look for simpler recipes. So newbies in the kitchen, I hope you’ll try my recipes or suggestions and let’s share kitchen secrets!

Mexican food is part of my family’s basic food group haha… we can’t say no to Mexican food. That’s why I make it a point to cook tacos, nachos, or quesadillas at home. This weekend, I’m in the mood for some chopping so I prepared tacos.

To make it more extra, I transformed it into a taco salad.

Instructions

  1. Cook the ground beef in a pan until brown. Drain excess oil (if any), pour the Taco seasoning mixture and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed.
  2. Arrange the lettuce, tomatoes, white onions, olives, cheese, and tortilla chips in a plate.
  3. Drizzle with sour cream and Salsa con Queso.
  4. Dig in and enjoy!

Serve the hot sauce on the side.

Sarap naman nyan! Yung chopping part talaga ang ayaw ko sa ganyang recipe, kaya minsan pag nag-crave ako for tacos or nachos bibili na lang kami or kakain sa labas. 🙂
